Zarcillo Awards 2007
La Colección D.C.E., SL scores a hat trick in the Zarcillo Awards 2007 with its wines from D.O. Ribera Del Duero.
Hat trick! La Colección D.C.E, SL. has obtained a new recognition to the quality of its wines in the recent international edition of the Zarcillo awards 2007. Three out of three, La Coleccion obtained three awards for three wines of its Ribera del Duero Origin Denomination range

These three Monovarietal wines are elaborated from the Tempranillo variety, which has been elevated as Queen of the 5th international edition and the 12th national Zarcillo Awards 2007, the potential of this grape has been clearly demonstrated in harmony with the Duero River.
Receiving the three Silver Zarcillos (La Coleccion is the only warehouse which has made a strike, three awards out of three wines applied, with its red wines) imply recognition and support for the work of this young warehouse, specially considering that the Zarcillos awards are the most important international awards in Spain and the jury was made up of 72 experts of recognized prestige all over the world. Additionally, and to give more enhancements to the awards, the organization has fixed a maximum of a 13% of awards for applied wines (2,159 in total), in order to obtain greater recognition.
La Colección D.C.E. is a project that sinks its roots in the most traditional wine history of Spain, developing projects in Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Toro and Rioja. In the Ribera del Duero, the society has a property of 160 hectares in the denominated Golden Mile in the heart of the denomination of origin, next to Vega Sicilia. La Coleccion D.C.E has planted 100 hectares (80 are grown with the Tempranillo variety and the rest are cabernet sauvignon) and where the warehouse building will begin to be elaborated within five years. Currently, the vineyards are young and its fruit is designated to elaborate the wine Vallis Tollitum, a young wine without wood, but in the future the excellent terroir of the property will serve to satisfy the quality parameters of all ranges of the project.
In the meantime, the plants grow with their normal development while time makes the vineyards to mature, La Colección D.C.E. selects some of the best terroir of this mighty denomination of origin to give the life to all its ranges of Ribera del Duero: Vallis Tolitum Roble; 1492 Santafé Crianza; 1492 Santafé Reserva; and the top wine: Palacio de Santa Cruz, wine that has a modern profile, powerful essences and complexes flavours, a truly delight.

Vinos Blancos de España
Last June 25th was celebrated in the restaurant Groot Paardenburg, Amstelveen next to Dutch locality of Amsterdam the event organized by the Spanish commercial office in La Haya Vinos Blancos de España (White wines of Spain) to offer the possibility to taste some of the best Spanish white wines and La Colección D.C.E, SL had the privilege to be present at this important event with the Oter de Cillas Verdejo like representative flag.
The event organized with exquisite charm gather together to the critical and some of the most influential professionals in this sector in Holland and the consequence was that the exigency level which raised remarkably. At the beginning the assistants enjoyed tasting the different wines that were meeting there; Perhaps the most important points of this type of events is its reduced character since the number of participants is reduced allowing enjoy the taste coolly.
During these first moments reactions and observations were quite good, surprising principally the power of Oter de Cillas Verdejo, the appropriate balance of the Oter de Cillas Sauvignon Blanc Semidulce and the complexity of the Oter de Cillas Aged Verdejo, although the main surprise was reserved for the lunch where two professionals very well valued in the Dutch world wine as Ellen Dekkers and Halil Assar selected our Oter de Cillas Verdejo to be tasted during the lunch, which were the only representative of variety to be tasted, and of course he did not disappoint.
The notes made by critics were very positive, also according to magazine ELLE the Oter de Cillas Verdejo was the event’s wine revelation and even animating to the importers to adopt the Oter de Cillas Verdejo between his wines since they augur him a warm welcome by the consumers.

It a pleasure for us be one of the sensations and revelations of the fair, being one pleasing surprise for all those that have passed through ours stand, from political authorities to an ample representation of the best sportsmen of our city, who to the being a young company did not locate to us very well, but that once they tasted our wines and once they seen our way to make things, they have an idea about who we are and the qualities our wines.
The first day began to us perfectly, with the recognition of several outstanding professionals in the wine world, materialized with two gold medals to our wines of Ribera del Duero, one of them to the 1492 Santafé Crianza 2003 and other to the Palacio de Santa Cruz Vendimia Seleccionada, you must remember this last one well because it will accumulate more prizes, we are sure of it.
In order to understand the importance of these prizes we must consider the privileged place that has the wines in a fair celebrated in the cradle of the Ribera del Duero, where some of the prestigious warehouses are based.
We have wanted to use our appearance in the fair to be thankful to the innumerable clients and friends that have deposited their confidence in our wines and to offer them a treatment as warm as they offer to all of those friends and clients who frequent their houses.

The wines of Castilla and Leon collected 15 of the 54 trophies in El Salón Internacional del Vino, being a privilege for La Colección wins the silver medal for our Oter de Cillas, a good beginning to animate to us to follow with our philosophy. An important triumph if we consider that competed by these titles around 700 nationals and internationals wines.
In our eagerness to share our wines we considered important to have presence in this type of events, where it is a fantastic showcase for other professionals.

The fair of wines from D.O. Ribera del Duero celebrate XIV edition, where was the first apparition of La Colección D.C.E. A fair in which the quality is the main reference,is essential for La Colección demonstrating that our variety of Ribera can compete in quality and price with the best ones. La Colección has contributed to arrive at the number of 300 wines that were showed in the fair, giving a reference of the importance of the fair and of because importers of 25 countries go to the fair.

This is thanks to the great accessibility that the fair offers between producers and clients, being estimated around 150,000 the professionals who make possible numerous contacts.
The wine within the fair:
The honour space that Alimentaria has to the wine is denominated Intervin and capitalizes an important part of the interest that offers the fair.
Following our philosophy, La Coleccion was present in this Alimentaria edition in 2006, which was a great opportunity to show our complete catalogue of quality.
Intervin offers a unique opportunity to take place and to make contacts, opportunity that La Colección make use of , showing that offering the best to our clients in quality and price, we can fight to arrive where we think that we have to arrive, a place reserved to the best ones.
